This can crusher sold by DC Mach is a multi-crush tool that will definitely speed up your crushing process a few times. The crusher has a semi-automatic crushing mechanism that allows to compress up 10 aluminum cans at a pretty fast pace, much faster than single can crushers.

DC Mach can crusher basically is made for 12 oz can crushing as the can holding basket can hold just regular 12 oz cans, but you can use this tool as single can crusher to compress 16 oz cans. This is useful if you mostly use 12 oz cans, but occasionally need to crush larger 16 oz cans or non-standard shaped 12 oz cans. As mentioned the crusher has got a can holding basket on the top of the tool that can hold up to 10 regular 12 oz cans. The crusher is made form a durable nylon plastic and in opposite to most metal crushers, can be used outdoors without worrying that it will start to rust.

The largest advantage of this crusher is semi-automatic crushing function, which together with a multiple can holder allows to significantly speed up the crushing process. When a can gets crushed it drops trough an opening at the bottom of the crusher and the next can drops in the crushing opening, so you don’t have to take cans out one by one after they have been crushed and insert a new can into the tool. Just place a garbage bag under the crusher, so all compressed aluminum cans drop directly into the garbage. This way you can crush 10 cans in a row without need to touch any compressed cans. This feature is useful for those who drink a lot from 12 oz aluminum cans, but won’t be much useful for those who need to crush one or two cans at a time or who drink from larger than regular 12 oz cans. DC Mach can crusher is a vertical crusher and comes with all mounting hardware needed to mount the tool to a wall. The tool must be installed to a sturdy surface, because the crusher will take a lot of force and might break or damage the surface it’s installed to.

Usage

The crusher itself is pretty easy to use. Just load 12 oz cans into the can holder, place a trash bag under the tool and compress cans one by one. It is also easy to install and comes with 3 screws that need be used to mount the crusher to a wall. Aluminum can crusher has got a long leveler, which makes the crushing process very easy. Unfortunately we did not find a soft grip handle as could be seen on many cheaper single can crushers. The crusher is very fast and will crush 12 oz cans in much shorter amount of time than a single can crusher. This is definitely a much better option for those who use a lot of aluminum cans than a single can crusher. The unit is not only fast but also fun to use and will make can crushing a more enjoyable chore. From the downside we can point out that cans do get stuck into the basket and need to be realigned time by time, which slows down the crushing process. Also the plastic construction of the tool is not the most durable one and parts like the long handle might break on heavy use. Other than that, this is a decent quality aluminum can crusher that you can get for over 20 bucks and will make the crushing of 12 oz cans much faster.
